January Favorites

I thought I’d start a ‘favorites’ series for 2013… and highlight one item from each category of any given beauty routine. So here are my January Favorites: Skin: Koh Gen D Oriental Plants Balm   This stuff is so good. I use it for just about everything now, from emergency

FOTD: Strange Blend

What happens when you marry Terracotta and Burgundy? FACE DiorSkin NUDE Foundation (051) Shiseido Translucent Powder Chanel Blush in Espleige EYES Louise Young Eyeshadow in Ting (browbone) NARS Cream Shadow in Ponderosa (lids/under waterline) Louise Young Eyeshadow in Sislet (lids) Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Lucky (waterline) Armani Eyes

FOTD: Extreme Blue & Purple

I put the NARS Arabian Nights Palette to the test. But instead of a purple paint pot, I used blue (MAC Imaginary) to bring out the middle shadow in the trio: FACE Dior Skin Nude Foundation (051) Korres Concealer in Tan Rock & Republic Blush in Tease EYES MAC Paint

FOTD: Blue-Grey Skies

I dug out my Dior Gris-Gris palette… and wondered why I’ve waited so long to use it again! I love this palette. It’s so versatile, and really easy to use.  FACE Diorskin NUDE Foundation in 051 Kevyn Aucoin Radiant Diaphonous Powder Illamasqua Blush in Nymph Lumiére Sculptée de Chanel Highlighting

FOTD: Teal Stuff

Hey guys, I was inspired by Tamara ( to do something with teal. Although I missed the day to properly show my support for the cause, I still wanted to do a little something. FACE Rock & Republic Tinted Illuminizer in Roxanne DiorSkin NUDE Foundation (5.1) Chanel Blush in Rose

FOTD: Black & White and Afghan Red

Eh, I don’t know about this look. I wanted to use some white and some black and my new NARS lippie… but I’m not sure that it popped as much as I would have liked it to: FACE Diorskin Nude Foundation in 5.1 Rock & Republic Tinted Illuminizer NARS Orgasm

FOTD: Kjaer Weis

I used all of my Kjaer Weis goodies for today’s FOTD. It came out soft and wearable. I really like this brand… it’s very user friendly. It’s likely geared more toward the consumer than the average professional (what with packaging and what not), but it’s still really lovely. EYES Kjaer
